The alarm keeps going off when nothing seems to be wrong.  What can I do?

Q The alarm system will not turn on.  What should I do?
A All windows and doors that have contacts (sensors) must be securely closed in order to arm the system.  When all doors and windows are closed, the keypad display will ready "READY."  If not, the keypad display will read "NOT READY."  Along with the "NOT READY" message there will be one or more numbers flashing in the upper left corner of the display.  The number's) represent the particular door or window that has not been close securely.  Compare the zone number on the keypad display to the zone listing on the pull-up card located at the top of the keypad.  Make sure those doors and windows are closed.  If your keypad display is still reading "NOT READY," call USA Abel Customer Service at 1-(973) 815-1101, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for assistance.
